Update: Good News & Continued Prayer for Shuan’s Brother Bryan Carr

November 9, 2015 by compassioncare

Update: Hello Family, I just wanted to give you an update on my brother Bryan’s condition, he is doing better and was released from the hospital last Thursday, he is still under a doctor’s care for the seizures but the medication he’s been given is supposed to help him. Right now his brain needs time to recover and he will be seeing a speech therapist to help him regain normal speech. He’s making good progress and I want to thank everyone for the prayers and ask you to please continue to keep him in your prayers. Thank you so much and God bless. Love, Shaun

—————————————-

Hello, Family, My youngest brother, Bryan Carr, has been ill with a degenerative neurological illness that the doctors have not been able to identify or name. He has been plagued with mild to extremely severe and regular seizures for the last few years and he’s only 51 years old. This illness has rendered him incapable of driving, working and many other normal, daily activities that we often take for granted. His illness has worsened since our dad passed away 21 months ago. Although he lives in California with his wife and 3 teenaged children, he’s come here to Atlanta to stay with my mom for a few weeks. Last night he had to be taken to Emory University Hospital by ambulance, after having suffered 3 consecutive seizures in my mom’s home. He was completely disoriented and even unabble to speak for a while and although his speech came back before we left the hospital last night, he was not lucid or coherent at all. The doctors wanted to do a CAT scan but he was refusing and became quite agitated so they decided to admit him. Please pray that the doctors at Emory will be able to finally discover what he has and be able to treat it. Please also pray for my mom, as this is obviously very difficult and stressful for her. Thank you and God bless you all.
