Update on Deacon Thurstin’s Surgery and Prayer Needs

I just wanted to say “Thank You “ to everyone that prayed for me, sent a text, called, or came by to visit.
The 1st part of the surgery was a success and the next part is scheduled for Monday (Please still continue to pray)

[11.25.25] We received an update from our Deacon Thurstin. The podiatry surgeon, Dr. Sharif, was finally able to see him yesterday. Although he wasn’t the doctor Thurstin had originally hoped for, he has found peace in trusting that God’s will is at work in this situation.

His first surgery is scheduled for sometime today. The plan is to surgically clean and debride his foot, as there is a significant amount of infection that needs to be addressed. Following this procedure, the surgeon anticipates two additional surgeries to properly reposition his foot and support the healing process.

The encouraging news is that amputation was not mentioned at all.

Thurstin does not yet have a confirmed time for when the procedure will begin, but he will share updates as they come. In the meantime, he deeply appreciates every prayer, message, and word of encouragement. Your support is strengthening him during this challenging season.
