Many of you have been praying for me, and I thank you with all my heart. The Father heard and hears your prayers and He strengthens me so I do not experience deep dark times of despair. There are several medical conditions that doctors have placed in my medical file. Some I acknowledge and some I do not. I often joke, saying I have more aliments than an octopus has arms. Continuous, back-to-back sickness, coupled with multiple doctor appointments, can propel one into self-pity and depression (its presence is often denied). At times, my ability to connect with God becomes a struggle. Your prayers intercede on my behalf and the Father hears you. You may not know what I’m experiencing, but God hears your prayers. I believe He looks and sees me and He stirs up His Spirit within me. Sometimes, I am lifted up by a phone call, a TV evangelist, a song on the radio or on Spotify. God uses varies avenues to enablee me to rise above my despair and seek His face.
The other day I was lead to Jeremiah 30:17 (GNB) “I will make you well again; I will heal your wounds, though your enemies say, ‘Zion is an outcast; no one cares about her.’ I, the Lord have spoken.” Lately, I get excited when I read where God’s Word says “I will. . .”. I’ve been reading it for years, but lately those two words “I will” has meaning like none before. It is God’s faithfulness; if He said it, He will do it. He is not like man that He should lie. Many times I am refreshed when I read in Psalm 34:19 (KJV) “Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.”
Yolanda Peltzer and Judith Lewis are two sisters that help me many times to keep my head above the water. I thank God that they allow me to be in their lives.
May we all continue to pray for others on the Compassionate Care list. All said, know that your prayers are like food on my table.
