It is a blessing to be here on this beautiful winter day God has made. We are a people subdued & sometimes even consumed by the nightmare in the madness & chaos of everyday life. I woke from my slumber the other day & when I stopped walking to look all around me as far as the eyes could see. I then began to sink in the waves as I was overwhelmed with great sadness & filled with anxiety. All that I witnessed presented before me as fact I believed; the painful truth of reality. On the exterior of the deep grief suffered individually I noticed that there are some who are grateful while so many others take for granted the freedoms we have. We have become content with the mediocrity of the world. We can be complacent having a little money, fancy cars, jewelry, nice clothes, expensive shoes or a big house but none of these adds any measure of content to our character.
We are a generation sheltered from the horrors of malice, discrimination & hatred that our forefathers & mothers endured. We are not foreigners of oppression or the struggle it’s why we have sustained in this recession & have survived during these hard times. It’s not easy but all things are possible by the grace of God & by his hands we we’re created; born a forbearing & resilient breed. May we not be overcome obliviously in ignorance, selfishness nor fear or the face of evil that has victimized & destroyed our communities, our way of life and our culture. To preserve a future for our children we must move forward with unity, dignity & passion in ALL that we do to continue achieving our dreams. Today we honor one of the greatest leaders who believed in the actions of nonviolence, the power of the people & the faith in a dream.
I want to wish Dr. Martin Luther King a Happy Birthday & may your soul forever rest in peace. I also want to thank Coretta Scott King, the King family & the masses of Civil Rights activist for their sense of civil duty, all of the courageous contributions & sacrifices of humanity to society. It is because of one man’s dream that we today have inherited the rewards of that dream & are able to redeem the check promised to it’s people declaring that all men were created equal. It is the reason that we had a black president speaking to a nation & the world today.
The power is indeed within we the people & it is up to us to acclaim the liberation deposited many years ago on the account due. May we not look upon one another with indifference & separation but as brothers & sisters with the common interest of fairness, prosperity & happiness. One nation under God, indivisible with justice for all! Together we rise divided we fall.
I feel as though my time here may be short & that I won’t be with you much longer however the good Lord still has a little work to do through me to be made complete. So he has sent me to deliver a message to his people, labor the fields, to plant, water & to serve my brothers, sisters, neighbors & strangers. I have a dream & I know we will get there; to paradise that is; with hard work, determination & perseverance. The reverence & glory of Jesus Christ shall be revealed to those who hold to the faith. I hope to make it with you but if I don’t step through with you side by side & hand in hand then I will be with arms wide open ready to greet you when you arrive & I’ll see you there.
John 14:12
12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
A little insight about Dreams of A King & John 14:12. It has been proven by example through many great leaders that have been inspired by & believed in these words. It is one if the most powerful scriptures that I know. God himself speaking as Jesus in the flesh telling us that whoever simply believes in him will do the works he has done & will do even greater things than those because he had to go to the Father. That is some amazing faith in us all as children of God. He believes in each one of us so much that we were given His approval no matter how bad our circumstance or messed up condition we may have. God loves us so much & Jesus does too. He knew that he had to make Lord’s will complete by his perfection & sacrificing his blameless sinless life. Even in all his splendor Jesus wept yet He understood that we would become more powerful beings because by his obedience we would be saved & allowed to surpass the limits of his reach here on earth in the flesh since we could go beyond the boundaries of sin yet still be deemed worthy of grace to be used to execute the purpose of goodness & love as vessels & weapons of God. He selflessly gave his life so that we might live for him. By his blood we have been forgiven, we are healed, we have the freedom to decide & we are in the authority of his good grace. I play my position not just by choice but according to his blessing that I am able to wake up each day, give the best I can give to the world & say these things unto you. People look to me as a leader & if that be His will for me then let’s start a One Million Person March today! I don’t remember the last one we’ve had & it’s no longer just a “Black Thing,” we all have a common ground simply based on economic hardship, domestic struggle & civil oppression whether Black, White, Brown, Yellow, Orange, Red, Pink, Purple, Blue or Green!
I can tell you that I wouldn’t know the first thing to say or do as doubt is the nature of my flesh but I’m confident of this & I believe it is the holy spirit which guides me that my heart follows. I would like to live happy & prosperous however it does occur to me that I might have to bleed a little bit more. Not so much to say physically per-say spiritually for are tears no more than the open wound of the soul since comes through the eye is equivalent a window? I could possibly lose my life but I am willing to die for what I believe in for I know there is no sin in fighting for what’s right. We fight with compassion, kindness & love. He himself confirmed that if one should lose their life living for him that he shall save it. For this reason is why I believe there have been leaders who followed the example modeled no more than by learning how to act out of love & kindness no matter how one wants to perceive the character of men. It’s some steps we may trace, templates we can follow & shadows we can reflect but we have to leave our own imprint, cast our own light & choose our own path. We can’t worry God will takes care of the rest.
The more we allow ourselves to follow in step with the spirit, the closer we get to God, the more “He,” makes “His,” presence know to us. He loves us more. “He,” allows for us to experience pain to condition his greatest chosen warriors with the endurance to encourage our brothers & sisters keep pushing. The more we let him work for us the harder the enforcers of darkness & the Devil WILL work against us for Satan truly despises the enemy whom stands for what is truth, what is just, what is right, what is good, all that is pure & everything worthy to be called holy. I give praise & thanks from the desert as I know God’s love always prevails. To my dear readers, thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by & read from my blog. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it! Seriously between me & you I’m not a perfect man but I hope you understand & I hope this helps. I hope it makes you change your mind about the giving up. I pray that you might have hope in the most hopeless places, just enough to get through. Just enough to help you get through the tough day you wake up to face. Makes you sometimes not even want to get out of the bed or come out the house but the first step is the hardest. After that follow your heart but obey your spirit. I love you all & I’m praying for you. May the Father ever increasingly shed his comforting grace to keep you & yours safe from hurt, harm & danger. May your heart be overfilled with joy transcended straight from heaven with more days of laughter & happiness as the Lord sees favor in the exuberant love from your spirit. Peace be with you & God bless.
Psalm 23:6 NIV
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
