What more can I give to you than what God has already given? I can only hope to bring a message to those reading or listening, that would arouse inspiration, incite encouragement, stir prudence & foster the lost children. I find myself curious as to when we stopped fighting; Was it when Obama was inaugurated or when they silenced 2Pac or shot Biggie, was it when they assassinated Martin Luther King Jr. Malcom X & the brothers John F & Bobby Kennedy. Asking myself questions exploring my family tree of ancestry that stops in the 1870’s unfortunately untied from my Egyptian roots the bloodlines of mighty warriors, commander in chief & sons of Kings but I am the descendant of Blacks or African Americans with American Indian genealogy both Blackfoot & Cherokee. At times I wonder if there is any hope for a race such as ours that has been broken down, diluted, oppressed & deceived for over four centuries. We have been, humiliated, persecuted, manipulated, slaved, brutally beat, loathed, controlled, rejected, expelled, displaced, eradicated, separated, institutionalized, confined, hung, burned, shot & led to the slaughter like sheep. The initial formulation of political legislation was an illustration of premeditated ideas deliberated that the founding architects of this country conceived was the embodied disposition conveyed by whites & for whites. Designed to benefit the pilgrimage of non-colored inhabitants & they declared “We the People.” Native Americans, Blacks, Hispanics, Latino’s & all persons of color were to be subjugated to peril through a sanctioned paradox of evil.
We live in a world that has severed us from each other. A society where an entire ethnicity has been torn apart; dismantled by the crafty hands & wicked schemes of evil men who have managed to convince us that it is better to only be concerned with our very own profit, desires & cravings. Our way of life slipped through the cracks in the pavement between practices of deception & greed, betrayal & treachery, hatred & discrimination, malice & murder, ignorance & dishonor many fathoms ago as justice perished in an era of tyranny which has reigned supreme for decades dating back to our forefathers & mothers. My dearest sisters & brothers… It is awfully staggering how far we have been led astray. If only the ignorance was bliss for the truth we cannot handle. If we could then to define it by meaning we would long ago have done better by now as we should accordingly once we know the truth! Many times too often we are just cozy with lies because they’re easier to accept. The truth may push us to levels of discomfort & is known to contain a touch of pain but it is capable of setting us free if we are willing to allow it. Everything to be done is to be shown not just discussed. We cannot be prepared for this life if we’re misinformed or unaware. We have managed to breach racial margins by salvaging a black president however we cannot be complacent when the fact remains that we still stand in the face of un-reconciled discrimination, indifference & inequality. We have package stores on every other block spreading the cancer that supports the addictions of the hood & an endorsed constant state poverty where violence, drugs, sex & guns plagues the homes nationwide throughout the slums.
There was a time that we started to realize the precious people we are. Sovereign pioneers, revolutionary leaders & shepherds of fellowship in our communities. We were empowered through the force of knowledge & magnitude of the masses in brotherhood, sisterhood & unity. Each one teach one we took pride in our people for being our brothers keeper. When “It was a black thing so you wouldn’t understand,” we humbly observed those who paid the price of sweat, bloodshed & tears. They endured the hardships of racism, oppression & hatred in exchange for their lives so that we would have better life. We honored their sacrifice then by becoming people of intellectual action & compassionate response, by any means, rather than gossips & cowards behind unlegislated propaganda. We stood firm together for freedom & equality to earn the birthrights to be perceived more than mere primitive sub-human entities but as people as well as treated with dignity & humanity. I think where ever hate exists lays its counterpart envy & I believe they have envied us for years. Long ago we were considered savage & unacceptable but it did not hinder our confidence or stop us from being who we were. As absurd as it has been the world has adopted our culture as if it were their own. We have set the standard yet now days most black people have a fascination with European style though African-American appeal is what has continued to break the mold. We have sewn greatness when they’ve given us nothing more than scraps! We were becoming too smart & they feared us so they flooded all the ghettos with aids, alcohol, guns & crack.
To all my beautiful forsaken ebony Queens… Let a man be a man because a man can’t be a man… When a man no longer protects, when a man no longer provides, when a man is no longer responsible, when a man no longer has drive, when a man no longer believes, when a man no longer stands, when a man no longer has moral he fails to be perceived as a man. I know for generations men have done terribly shameful things. I hope & pray that you will find God or He will find you & not only this I hope that He will restore & deliver you. As black men we have made many mistakes, still are making them & will probably continue to make more. I personally hope that women worldwide especially my sisters will find forgiveness in their hearts for the disgraces of our reckless conduct & that Father would bless you all with an ever increasing understanding of us! Furthermore I pray that He would grant you peace & give you all the desires of love that you seek. I believe many of us are paying for or feeling the repercussions of the mistakes of other men & the oblivious actions of our father’s & grandfather’s way back when. We were encouraged to be players, hustlers & pimps; to get in where you fit in while the getting’s worth getting. In essence we became thugs, gangsters & baby daddy’s witnessing our mentors downgrading women. Indignity on the TV, indecency, distorted images of sisters portraying the exploits of promiscuity, sexuality & materialism. Hence the value of self respect is at an all time low & a black woman’s loss of divineness is at an all time high. From a past generation of deadbeats who for many decades have chosen to abandon them, back to the underlying circumstances & consequences deeply rooted centuries ago manipulated through the unjust acts of slavery where our ancestors were sold, auctioned off & traded in like spiritless entities of cheap property way back then. A race of people treated as if they were more worthless than dirt from having dark skin. Poor excuse I know but let the record show that livestock, pets & wild animals where considered of more value & importance.
We’ve been coming from dysfunctional families in this nation from the beginning. They divided the strong to devour the weak & the rest were left empty. We were passive & forgiving as it is written God shall bless the meek. The history is still crazy with murders of innocent little infant babies’, young ebony girls trying to escape the master of the plantation so she isn’t a victim of rape & men killed for running to be free. Thus our mothers & our grandmothers were appointed head of the house holds then. Over time all alone learned to survive & developed the complex to hate men. As the result bitterness was embedded with a perpetuated inheritance of resentment within each of my sisters like an involuntary condition. Thus it has been common that Mothers taught our precious daughters that they don’t need men & now our daughters are becoming more self-centered, narcissistic & independent to the point that they’re more susceptible to offend or to act in sin. She doesn’t care about guidance she’s more interested with popularity, fortune, fame & advice from her friends. Mimicking the different things she’s learned from the the nae nae on YouTube, video girl twerkin, to posting provocative pictures on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter news feeds, hash tags & what’s most trending. The black male is nothing more than an object of optional affection or an annoyance from undesired attention. Misuse & mistreat ’em as if she doesn’t need him. Truth is that never was God’s intention but I cannot blame mama for what she teaches because she teaches the best she knows she can being she too was cut short raised without her dad. A father figure or male role model was something she was never fortunate enough to have.
To my brothers, we are Kings our position of power resides on the thrown. We may never possess the honor until we work together to build our empire. For a moment in time we most were starting to resemble Jesus. We have since scorned the face of God by replicating the nature of destructive behavior from those who oppress us. Is this all we really want? Working hard to only to barely make ends meet a hopeless meaningless life in poverty? Standing on the corner hustlin with the thugs hanging & bangin only to kill one another and destroy the communities we need to build slangin drugs or earn a lifetime sentence in prison behind bars forever locked up. We can entertain them by becoming a performer, athlete, rapper or actor but even they are controlled since they have an influence. They in turn captivate us as the targeted audience. We are distracted with possessions which possess us, celebrity drama, music obsessions yet have we not neglected our own & already suffered enough? To busy saggin our skinny pants off our nasty crack, staying all the way turned up but for what to show off our butts & boast about our stuff that’s right we gotta keep up with the latest fad. The newest J’s drop tomorrow in fact! I’m only kidding about that but if I wasn’t we surely would have them along with the socks, the shirt & perhaps the bag to match. It’s strange the hard working class is considered lame & how we worship the important individuals for the sake of swag. Stuck barely living check to check & can’t even afford to keep accumulating the merchandise we want purchased, already above the neck in debt; Borrowing from money spent off the bills & rent payday is just around the way. We cannot be content today when we’re still second class citizens, expendable slaves with invisible shackles & chains. Now instead of being bound at the feet, tied down from our ankles to our wrists they’ve switched the leash of pressure, stress & burdensome restraints. Affixed to emasculate the black male & desensitize the black female hooked to permanently lock on then confine the mind but do not be afraid to have the courage to change. So think with the heart & liberate the brain…
