My, my, my how the time flies. It doesn’t seems all that long ago but 3 years ago to the day before the Angels & many witnesses that I made my great confession, was saved & born into the body. I can remember almost every detail about the day from the nervousness I felt as I sat waiting in the Westin Peachtree Hotel lounge with a bunch of New Orleans Saints fans, getting baptized with my t-mobile G1, to driving from a photo shoot in stone mountain with a special lady. As I reflect on where I’ve been I see how far I’ve come & how much further I’m gonna need to go. Things have not been perfect but that’s life & I have not been perfect but I’m a work in progress. The disappointments of life & the flaws I have leave room for improvement, growth, development & the grace of God to work. The hardships & trails that we endure are so that by faith we may trust turning to him so that we might also come to know him. Then by knowing him we might understand how we are to be utilized by him so we may serve him. We fulfill our true purpose when we allow ourselves to submit to his will. You see everything is not necessarily about us specifically but many times perhaps who’s lives he is gonna need us to touch. These battles & pitfalls we encounter, Well those are to prepare us so that we are able to help others who are placed in our lives facing the same challenges & struggles. As I reach the masses this morning I pray that our Father is magnified & exalted in all that I am called to do. I don’t deserve the love but I receive it anyway & I am grateful to be his chosen warrior.
S/O to my spiritual twin sister T.J. love you sis & I’ll be praying harder for you! 😉
Mathhew 22:1-14 (14 “For many are invited, but few are chosen.”)
1Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying: 2“The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. 3 He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come.
4 “Then he sent some more servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’
5 “But they paid no attention and went off—one to his field, another to his business. 6 The rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them. 7 The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 “Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. 9 So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’ 10 So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.
11 “But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. 12 He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless.
13 “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
14 “For many are invited, but few are chosen.”
I remember being there, the Saints fans in the lobby, talking to Mike before service started. You and your phone being baptized before the angels and many witnesses and me taking the phone to work to dry it out. It’s been a great three years seeing you grow through struggle and learning how to dance in the rain. I pray for God to continue to carry you through and his grace to be with you always. Congratulations my friend. Darryl
Thanks Darryl! I have thinking about & praying for everyone involved in any way that I can remember. Lol. It’s too many names to say but Ben, Joe, Darryl, Mike, Scott, Kitt, Fawn, Britt, LaNitha, Denise, Mom, Dad, Geo, Loody to lift up just a few I love & appreciate you all. Your prayers have probably saved my life more times than I can know or say, your support & encouragement continues to give me both a driving force & direction to destiny. <3
